100,000 Baht break-in at home of Navy Sailor in Sattahip

A 100,000 Baht burglary took place at a house in Sattahip on Tuesday afternoon as its occupants were out working.

Police were called to the house of Petty Officer First Class Prasong aged 45 who lives with his wife Khun Siripen aged 44. Both work in the daytime and left their house at 8am and returned at 3pm to find that at least one person had entered through a ground floor window and stolen items of value.

Due to rainstorms during the day, footprints and other marks left around the house suggested to Police that at least 2 people had broken into the house. The Petty Officer confirmed that 30 Buddhist Amulets, a Jewellery Set and a digital camera had been taken with a combined value of around 100,000 Baht.

Police suspect that a group of construction workers located nearby may have somehow been involved in the break-in and are currently questioning them in relation to the incident, but for now, they all claim not to be involved. The case continues.
