A Golf Caddy, who was suspected of being in a heavily intoxicated state, was run over and killed in the Plu Ta Luang area late on Tuesday Night.

Police and Rescue Services were called to the Sukhumvit Road just after 8pm to deal with the accident and began by inspecting the body of Khun Kumron aged 35 who works as a caddy at the Plu Ta Luang Golf Course. He appeared to have been struck by a Black Toyota Fortuna, driven by Khun Panitda aged 35, a Sushi Vendor who works at the KM10 Market. She was on her way home after work and claimed she was unable to avoid a collision with the man, who appeared to be staggering on the road. At one point it appeared he was walking onto the pavement but staggered back onto the road and was hit by the vehicle.

A 19 year old cousin of the dead man soon arrived at the scene and confirmed that he had been drinking with him all night. Khun Kumron wanted to go to a nearby fair which was taking place. His drinking companions tried to persuade him not to go but he went there alone and was killed close to the entrance of the fair.

Police arrested the Fortuna Driver who is likely to be charged over the crash.
