In front of dozens of tourists, a 38-year-old naked Kuwaiti man was hauled away in a police car in front of Walking Street for swimming naked in the ocean. He resisted arrest and cursed and spat at officers. He was later injected with an anesthetic at the police station to calm him down.

PATTAYA-November 5, 2012[PDN]; at 12:10 a.m., a report of a drunk foreigner detained by tourist police for swimming naked at Pattaya beach was received by Pol. Lt. Col. Anake Sathongyu, Inspector, Pattaya police station. He rushed to inspect the scene.

The drunken foreign man had taken off all his clothes to swim in the sea at the old port, south Pattaya, Moo 10 Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

When police arrived, they discovered the drunken foreign man was naked and singing songs boisterously. He shouted insults at the police and scolded them to leave him alone.

But he was restrained with handcuffs and forced into the mobile car of tourism police at the entrance of Walking Street, in plain sight of more than 100 tourists. The man’s white shorts was found on the beach by police. They found his wallet inside that had no cash, only an identity card that identified him as Mr. Faisal A Kh Alrashidi, age 38, from Kuwait.

Mr. Faisal was taken to the police station to calm him down. But while he was being transported to the jail, he got mad at the police, and shouted and scolded and spit saliva on the officers many times. Then he tried to run away from the officers, so the police decided to have him injected with an anesthetic by the doctor from Banglamung hospital.

Pol. Lt. Col. Anake was also notified that this foreign man had previously came to Pattaya police station several times. He always came alone to walk around to ask for attention from the police. The police will continue to investigate for the cause of Mr. Faisal’s recent unruly behavior, and will inform the Kuwait embassy to be acknowledged further.

I hope he enjoyed his swim.

You can't always get what you want but if you try, sometimes you might find that you get what you need.

He should try doing that at home. :GoldenSmile1:

Its a publicity stunt to make the news in Kuwait and promote Pattaya! lol

I saw this guy handcuffed and being held down by the tourist police. The bloke was an animal, threatening to beat the police when he was free, thrashing around on the floor with one police officer standing on him to prevent him from firing up again. The TP spent ages stopping people taking photographs.....but not PattayaOne,who printed lots on their website. He was powerful, crazed,a good job the police were team handed,it took a bunch of them to take him down. Don't underestimate the tourist police, they can be brutal as needed.

Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Isn't there a blanket ban for Muslims on alcohol? Good to see some who take liberties with the regulations. Ok, the result wasn't good.
