I've damaged a few items of clothing....severely ripped jeans and shirt....is there a good cheap machinist working near the 13s who can save these items by stiching them back together? I know of a few in Bangkok but don't remember seeing any in Pattaya. Close to Soi 13 would be good. Thank you.

try the lady opposite SUGAR SUGAR on soi boukaow, she has her sewing machine set up outside of a pharmacy. Just before my last trip, I had to buy my son his new school uniform, he needed his blazer arms taking up and 2 pairs of trousers taking up. The robbing bastards in the UK wanted 27 quid, yes 27 quid so I told them to shove it up their arse as I was going to Thailand so I would have them done there. The lady pulled a face and told me they wouldnt be done to the same standard. I brought the uniform with me and was told about this lady, took them to her and she said no problem they will be ready in a few days. Went back a few days later and couldnt believe it when she charged me 180 baht, I was so chuffed with the quality that I gave her 200 baht :GoldenSmile1: please dont anyone flame me for overpaying. Moral of this story, if you need any alterations done and you are going to Pattaya shortly, take them with you. I highly recommend this lady.

You should have taken the adjusted items back to the first lady and showed her the quality

Quite a few on Pattay central road, walking east from second road.

There's one on Pattaya Tai/South Road between the point where Beach Road meets Walking Street and the traffic lights - on the south side near the internet cafe and the barber's shop. I've used her a couple of times, and she did an OK job

Cheers

There is a lady with sidewalk sewing machine on Pattaya Tai, west of Second Road after the turn

from Beach Road and maybe 30 meters past the Bamboo Bar on the same side of Pattaya Tai before

you get to Second Road. I took a shoulder bag to replace a zipper and I had an old zipper from

another old shoulder bag. She had quoted me 50 baht but when I returned I noticed she had replaced the

broken zipper with a new one, not the old zipper I had given her. I was going to give her 70 baht when she

asked for 60 baht because she had to use a new zipper and could not use the old one I had given her.

The work is great and I would go back to her will all my alterations.

why would you bother when you can replace them so cheaply with new ones? :Hello9:

Guess jeans $123.00 Cdn.For her to hem them to the perfect length.70 baht.Hello.?

She sits very near the Explorer internet cafe. I have used her a couple of times and concur with your recommendation.

Soi 13 between beach road and 2nd road, she is in front of new laundry and real estate office,

There is a taxi stand there,

Very lovely lady and good at her work.

...lovely lady who works in laundry next door to Ruby club on Soi 6, fixed stiching on my giant (and indispensible in rainy season), umbrella;next time saw her she was all dollied up in the front line of an adjacent beer bar;she declined any money for the sewing, so bot her nice leopard skin pattern scarf for wee gift....

The OP must have been walking around Patts with his eyes wide closed judging on all the suggestions offered so far on his thread. :GoldenSmile1:

Just to add one more there is a lady in Soi Honey opposite Captains Bar and right on the verandah of a massage palour. You can kill three crows with one stone. Have a beer, have a massage (root) and get your strides stitched up at the same time. It dont come much better than that.

Also you can slip across the road to Captains Bar and enjoy one of the best breakfasts in Patts and still keep your eye on your gear.

Haha...very true,I couldn't see the wood for the trees. I used the lady suggested by SSSS opposite SugarSugar...she was busy but did everything in 48 hours. Good work.

Later that same day I saw the lady opposite the Dynasty Inn in Soi 13.....bizarre as I had been staying there for three weeks and didn't notice her even though she was bang outside the hotel front door.
