American Football

All due respects to you footballers out there who dominate the stools and screens at all the bars, but I'm jones'n for some american football. Since it's difficult to catch a game out, any US expats catching games over the internet? Where? I know I can't access many sites to view any US programming without a VPN. I looked at the VPN, proXPN, offered on PA but the free version limits speeds to 300kbs, to slow for gridiron action. Any help for a poor Bears fan?

Justin tv. Many times there's a link from there where u can catch a game. It can take a few tries to find a game, but usually can find a game.

every Sunday night (Monday)starting at 1AM the Chik-N-Coop bar on Second Road, across from Mike's Shopping Mall has a good group of Americans watching the games and chowing on a bowl of chili. they also show Monday Night Football live Tuesday morning at 8:30 AM

I download the torrents and watch when I like. I don't look at the score so they are good anytime. thepiratebay usually has most of the games by Tuesday. Good Luck

If you live here then consider shelling out about 8000 baht for the Gamepass package over the NFL.com site. Good for a year, all the games either live or delayed (your choice) and other programming and features.

If you have Truevisions you get two Sunday games, the Monday night game and the Thursday night game shown live (in HD) plus repeats of most of the other games, later in the week.

I remember watching NFL playoffs in the past with Joe in TQ1. I don't know how they got them but I do remember watching them there.

Thanks for all the tips. I tried a few, ustvnow was to slow and I think I let them grab my Facebook info. I just saw I missed the Texas Chicago game, but at least I didn't have to suffer watching the Bears lose.

Yes,the Chick-In Coop shows the games. I've watched several games there and it is great. Food, drinks and lots of very nice people.

 

Coop is a great cook and a great host to all that visit his bar. I told him one time that his Christmas meal was as good as my moms. That is a great compliment as my mom worked for the extension service for the state of Missouri (Missouri University.)In the 50's she taught new home makers how to cook, plan meals for the month and how to be a home maker. Of course times changed and all that stopped. But oh my goodness mom could cook. Long story but Coops food tasted like my moms, I was in heaven. And if you visit his bar you will see the game and have a good time.

Hmmmmmm, now that I think about it there's a 12 hour time difference between Patts and the East Coast of the USA.

 

So 1PM games will start at 1AM, 4PM at 4AM and 8PM at 8 AM.

 

Do the bars have any ability to tape delay (or whatever) ?

 

I don't expect I'll be up at those hours to watch,,,,,,

Just saw on the Irish Rovers post ( a few below this one in the sport section) that they have Game Pass and can show any NFL/NCAA game live or replayed.

 

Suggest asking what they can actually do for some of those hours.

 

Last time I was in Patts (last Xmas) there were a couple of places I watched NFL games and College bowl games, one of them was Witherspoons on Soi Buakhao but can't remember the other ones name. Witherspoons had big boards out the front saying what they were showing and the times for the next few days.
