Can anyone tell me if doing a visa run on Saturday is noticeably busier than weekdays. If so did it make any difference to the visa run?they are bad enough already.

Do you mean a border run to Cambodia? Or a visa run to get a visa in Laos? It depends what country and what border you are going to. Agents go to certain border points on certain days.

Border runs no problem , they usually use the backroads . Only getting in and out of Pattaya will be a bit busier .

Visarun is not gonna work on a Saterday as the embassies are closed .

I did my first few visa runs with my Thai wife, absolute nightmare every time. Found out about 5 star visa runs on soi13, so much easier.

I did a Visa Run to Laos, those buggers are so inefficient its not funny took 2 hours plus, the people just kept coming and the bastard looks at your passport and its from the USA or its neighbors you are charge $42 instead of $30, bitches.

From my experience Cambodia is good, but the best is to go to Malaysia, FREE Visa on entry, just a 12 hour trip down to Hat Yai and head to the border and get free Visa and either visit Malaysia or just re Enter Thailand and head back to bus station for trip back home.

Cheers.

Agree about Malaysia, but both Danok and Pedang Basar crossings can be an absolute nightmare Fri-Sun. The Malaysian side is OK, but the Thai side can be really slow-moving.
