Quickest clinic for STD testing?

Recommended Posts

Hi All

About to head back to Oz in a couple of days after a mad trip here. Wanted to get a quick STD test before I leave though.

Is there anywhere in Patts that I can get a test done and have the results within a day or 2?

Cheers

There's a clinic opposite the entrance to Walking Street, on the road that heads away from Beach Road, up about 50 meters.

Costs around 500 baht, blood test & wait for results in around 15 minutes.

I hope you do not think a quick test will mean you are good to go, and SAFE

Do I also assume once you have had the test, then you will cease to have ANY sexual contact with anybody and then when back Home repeat the Tests along with Blood work.

If this is not going to happen by all means have a Test in Pats but it will not be the final ones you need

Seems that some married guy wants to be sure not to bring back chlamydia to his wife after some long hard conference work somewhere in Asia... :GoldenSmile1:

5555 I can recall those days well, and just waited until back Home to have the Tests done, coming up with stupid reasons to the Wife, why I could not have Sex :SoWhat1:

Now Single I have no problems :Think1:

There is a lab that just does testing. Results in an hour and they will email them to you. It is just off 3rd road as you head to Bali Hai pier and go past Tony's Gym, then pass the stoplight or Soi 17. It is about the third side soi after Soi 17 off 3rd road to your right. On the corner is a big sign that says "EXPRESS LAUNDRY".

Go down the Soi about 100 feet or less and it's on your right. It's called "Lifecare Laboratory Pattaya" with a purple sign. Here is the website in Thai though, but there is a phone and the packages are in English and Thai.

They have all kinds of laboratory tests they can do and package deals. A full STD testing package is 700 baht and that includes a test for Hepatitis B. Remember that is takes 1-3 months for HIV to show itself in tests and 10% or less of the time it takes even longer for HIV to show. I use 3 months as my time frame to get tested for HIV. They do have a test that is supposed to be able to detect HIV (in most instances) in 2 weeks after intercourse and it costs 700 by itself.

Look at this page for all the packages:

Anyone who cannot cope with mathematics is not fully human. At best he is a tolerable sub-human who has learned to wear shoes, bathe, and not make messes in the house.

I have used several clinics around town but the most reliable in my view is the Pattaya Hospital just off of Second Road and Central Road. I think it costs about THB 700 and you can have the results in about an hour.

HI,

Not sure how long you been there and if you took precaution , but these tests means almost nothing unless it is taken at least 3 months after your last action. You can have the problem but not shown in the test in the first 3 to 6 months. Take care

Nice advice but not realy accurate.

4th generation tests detect antigene P24 from 7 to 14 days after infection. Antibodies are detected 21 days after. These test are so sensible that they can make more false positive results than the 3rd generation. How ever, they never make false negative.

The 3 month delay is more than 10 years old. Now, it is 28 days (however the 3 month politic delay stupidly still remains).

just my own opinion of couse.

go to the pattaya hospital....hour or two and done with piece of mind. years ago, I went to a clinic in Patts, got medicine and 10 days later, while home wanted to get tested again to be sure it was gone( seemed like I still had symtoms) ....still had it. I showed the clinic at home the drugs that were given me and they told me those drugs hadnt been on the market for 3 years. like they say in LOS......up to you.
