A 32-year-old ladyboy was arrested for pickpocketing the wallet of a tourist on soi Buakhao. The ladyboy had approached the victim and lifted his wallet while caressing and hugging him. The victim quickly notified police, who caught the ladyboy trying to hide in some bushes.

PATTAYA – November 1, 2012 [PDN]; at 5:30 a.m., a report of a tourist’s wallet being stolen was received by Pol. Maj. Col. Seksan Ruewate, crime suppression inspector, Chonburi.

Police forces on patrol to prevent crimes in his duty area were informed that a ladyboy had pickpocketed a tourist on soi Buakhao near the intersection of south Pattaya road, moo 10, Nongprue, Banglamoong, Chonburi.

Waiting for police at the side of the road was the victim, Mr. Stephen David Derry, age 51. He told police while walking back to his room, he encountered a ladyboy wearing a low-cut red blouse and jeans shorts.

The ladyboy began talking with him and caressing and also hugging him. Then the ladyboy secretly lifted the victim’s tiger-print wallet from his trousers pocket, and ran away along soi Buakhao. The victim told police his wallet contained his passport and 4,840 baht.

After receiving the theft report, the police dispersed forces to spread out to find the ladyboy. A short while later, they found the thieving ladyboy trying to hid among some bushes. The victim identified the suspect as the one who stole his wallet.

The ladyboy was identified as Mr. Chaiyos Muenkamlue, age 32, living at the house number 30, moo1, Banprao, Pisanulok. However, after his arrest, Mr. Chaiyos denied taking the wallet, but the police did not believe the ladyboy.

After carefully checking the evidence, the police detained and sent the ladyboy to the detective team of Pattaya police station to prosecute.

Do not trust LB's. Serious scammers.

Same thing happened to me in Sukhumvit Rd BKK, near all the stalls between Soi's 3&5, LB grabbed my camera out of a belt pouch.

One of the Thai stall holders saw it happen, chased after Mr LB, threw him onto the ground, got my camera back then placed a well aimed boot.

Pretend you're at work when on the streets of Pattaya.

Walk fast, look worried, and always carry a clipboard. The boss will never bother you.
