You see them all over Pattaya. You put your feet in and the fish are supposed to eat all the dead skin. Well Ive always got dry skin on my feet.......even more so when Im in pattaya with wearing flip flops alot. So if i go once a week when Im there next week for 3 weeks will it help. I mean does this actually work. And will I have nice soft skin on my feet after afew sessions. Anyone advise

I have used them a few times and once you get over the initial tickling they are good. I normally follow with a foot massage and by the end of the session feel great.

The fish will not get rid of all the dry/.hard skin byt give it a couple of tries before you give it up as not working.

Next tip use one of the places in Soi 13/1/2/3/4 and the not the one outside central fesival, the prices are less and you get longer.

If it flies, floats or fucks - it will be cheaper to rent !

Seems like the fad died out as the tanks used to be everywhere, now I only see a few. I tried it once or twice and didn't really notice any difference. I heard its not hygienic as well with so many people sticking their smelly feet in the same water.

Best to get the massage ladies down at Jomtien Beach to give your feet a good scrape down. Way more effective than fish munching away for 30 minutes. Sit opposite Jomtien Soi 5......

Never thought of that. might pop to Jomtien Beach and give that a try........cheers

Just another tourist gimmick in SE Asia. Pretty gross if you think about it. You can probably find a place that'll give you a full pedicure for under 200 baht.

I've had the ones at the beach where they scrape the callouses as well as cut the nails. 400B

It kind of hurts for a few days, but is it really safe? They appear to use the same scrapper on person after person. Does anyone know if blood is involved?

Now I just go to shops where they only cut my toenails, for 180B

I love those things! The feeling is similar to that of a mild electrical shock, and while it doesn't really do much in terms of removing callouses, it feels pretty freaky. Just make sure the tank you dip your feet in has only small fish, as the larger ones (7.5 centimeters or more) are a bit uncomfortable when they bite.
