The couple’s severely damaged motorbike was a blue Suzuki Hiyate, license number JOR TOR YOR 327 Chonburi. The motorbike had collided with a parked Toyota van, bronze color, license number HOR KHOR 623 Bangkok. The left rear of the van was severely damaged from the violent collision with the motorcycle, and the van’s tailight was shattered.

Police questioned the van’s driver, Mr. Thanya Kledprathum, age 38. He told police that he and his older brother had traveled from Bangkok to pick up some tourists. Mr. Thanya had parked his van on the side of the road to wait for the tourists.

Suddenly there was the loud noise at the back of the van, so he and his startled brother went to have a look. They discovered the motorbike had collided with his van and two people were lying dead on the ground.

After investigating and inspecting the accident scene in detail, the police took photographs and made notes for evidence. They then restrained the van driver Mr. Thanya to be investigated further according to procedures regarding fatal accidents.
