Hi. I have my friend who wants to come but he has low income this period. I know there are some places that have rooms with aircondition around that price 4000-500 per month. A Thai guy from the hotel I was staying told me when I was there that some tourists are staying in this price cheap rooms but I cannot find him to ask more information.

We see some of these places in soidb.com site but not sure about their quality and conditions of living there.

For expample we found this "lux mansion" place but not many information from forums for places like this.

Anyone who knows would help us.

Nirun Condo, a few hundred meters down Soi Arunothai, opposite from Big C Extra (previously known as Carrefour)

My advice would be to book a room in a cheap guesthouse for a few days and then have a walk round potential areas as most of these places aren't advertised on the internet.

There are hundreds of cheap rooms in and around places like Soi Buakhao, Soi Arunathai, Soi Kophai, Soi A.R. and many others.

I think this is very near from MaxxCentral, right? :)

Is this the location?

Thank you.

Yes, for sure. But we will find first some places before we go there and then he will stay with me 1 day and we will go and check everything that we will have in paper written. That is why I ask some advice to have already written some places and not go walking all day searching for rooms. :)

Thank you.

these rooms are available everywhere. where do you think do all the thais stay in Pattaya ? for sure they dont rent condos with sea-view and jaccuzzi. simply ask at office in each low rise building in any of the 1000s small sois in Pattaya to show room. the rental fees range from 3000THB up to 8000THB, depending on equipment and furniture. a 3 months deposit and minimum stay is usually required.

We have an apartment at Niran, see my website for pics/details etc, good little set up there for the price

I know this. But I ask for your help for some of these places that the conditions were good and you were pleased staying there. :)

Last few days I was room hunting with a lady friend from Showgirls. 4 to 5 K is normally just a room w a fan , bed , cupboard and no room service. Is that what you are looking for? Many have no TV and certainly no fridge nor AC. Electricity and water adds to about an additional 1K.

Some of these places also have RULES like no visitors allowed etc or only for a few hours. They are not meant for farangs..mostly Thais working here.

4-5K just for a room with air condition. TV, internet, etc he will pay if he needs. But in soidb.com we see many that starts from 3500 and have some equipement too. But I do not know if they are reliable. If it is 5.5K with air condition it will still be good price.

For 8000-10000 I can find room for my friend that has everything inside. That is why I ask for 4-5K...if you know anything specific that some of you already have stayed there inform me.

Thank you.

i stayed at Nirun for a few months and liked it. Yes it's right past Maxx. 5k room will have AC, TV, Fridge, pool access, etc. Only 26m though. I have looked at other places in the same price range such as Mejestic but they don't compare to Nirun IMO

I already have seen this but it says 9500/month...you mean you will make a discount? Sorry If I do not understand. My English is not good...

Theyre tiny rooms at the Nirun prison blocks...far better to have look around the smaller sois off 3rd road or soi bongkot etc...or even on the darkside too, as cheaper rents and where a lot of working thais stay plus long term sexpats too.

Yeah it's a little further down on the map - http://goo.gl/maps/7d2ng shows Nirun right in the middle of the map.

Just go there and look around, there are notice boards at the entrance of each block usually with plenty of available condos starting around 5,000 baht. It isn't the Ritz but it's not as bad as some people want to make it either. Don't believe everything you hear, go look for yourself.

Mate of mine stays in soi15 off soi buakaow, great location, huge room, air con, furnished and cable. 5000k a month. It is a four story white building, on the right hand side near the top at third road. Right opposite HOliday Mansion. He loves it there.

The problem with Nirun is that it has very poor public transport access and its a long walk to pattaya central road. late at night its a hassle to get home.

I can get a phone number for the manager if you need it.

You may want to at least look down around Naklua, Soi 16, 14. Quite a few room/apartments in that range, easy baht bus (5 minutes) to the beach, and not so crazy as Central Pattaya. As one guy mentioned however, almost all of these are 3 months minimum and many are 6 month minimum. Plan on around 1000 bht electric and water.

Thank you but my friend wants only in Pattaya because I will stay there. He wants to stay for 2 months. I know Naklua, a friend of mine likes staying there but I prefer central Pattaya and near around. At least to can reach Bua Khao by walking some minutes.

Near to Nirun Condo is Kao Karat condo. It also has rooms around the price you are looking for, I believe the rooms are slightly larger than Nirun for about the same price, and the pool is nice.

For a budget room, I would consider this place on 3rd road close to pattaya klang. Either 400B a night or 2800B a month. Only stayed one night, but place seemed fine. AC, fridge, cable TV. Worn room, but nothing wrong with it. Friendly staff.

I prefer a room in the center of things instead of on 3rd road, but that costs more. Don't forget to budget for eletricity costs. Some places have a hefty markup.

Better look at this place before renting.

There are Apartments off Pattaya Klang that rent for 5000 per month, you have to try your luck as they rent fast. Lot of time these places come with no furniture, if you get furniture make sure the bed is good, or you will never get any sleep.
