Abusing Diet Pills Messes Up Woman’s Mind

Police were called to assist a 35-year-old housewife suffering from severe neurosis after years of taking diet pills. She had disregarded her husband’s warnings about the unsafe pills, and began acting irrationally several days ago, he said.

CHONBURI – October 16, 2012 [PDN]; a report of a woman behaving irrationally was received by Chonburi police. Officers rushed to inspect the scene in front of the municipal office of Laem Chabang. In front of a shop, police found Mrs. Sirima Sa-ard-eam, age 35, a production worker of Moltain Co., Ltd. in the industrial park affiliated with Sahaphat Sriracha.

Mrs. Sirima was sitting in a semi-coherent state, and would sometimes burst out crying. Her husband and son were talking to her to try and calm her down. The husband was identified as Mr. Kittiphong Sa-ard-eam, age 37, and the son was Siriphong Sa-ard-eam, age 13.

Both father and son were trying to talk Mrs. Sirima into coming back home, but Mrs. Sirima’s symptoms were so intense that she was irrational. She scolded Mr. Kittiphong and accused him of bringing a mistress to live in their house. She further accused her husband and son of stealing all their property to give to the other woman.

During questioning, Mr. Kittiphong told police he had been married to Mrs. Sirima for 14 years. They had been living together all that time and have one son. Mrs. Sirima had been a thin person earlier in their marriage, but Mr. Kittiphong said in the last 4 or 5 years his wife was getting fatter, so she bought some dietary medicine to eat.

But Mr. Kittiphong warned her that the medicine was unsafe. He told her not to eat it, and threw away the medicine. But instead, Mrs. Sirima bought another brand of dietary medicine, which she ate continuously for many years.

However, in the last 3 or 4 days, Mrs. Sirima began to talk in a confused manner, and sometimes she could not remember herself and their son. So Mr. Kittiphong had to take off from work to take care of his wife. Then today Mrs. Sirima had escaped from the house to tell the Laem Chabang police that Mr. Sirima had beaten her and stole her property.

So the police had to restrain Mrs. Sirima and sent her to the hospital to treat her neurosis symptoms.

I am surprised we don't hear more stories like this because it is such a common accordance with Thai ladies once they reach their late twenties. We associate Yaba as the been the main drug use of choice, ..but the hidden demon 'Dieting Pills' are sending a lot of thai ladies insane. Two falangs I know with Thai wife's are always giving out shit about them, both the wife's are mid thirties, and they feel they are old and fat now, the reality is that they are lean and very attractive, they think the pill does the job alone, ..without exercise or a change in diet.
