A1 English Test for the UK

GF has just come for 2nd visit with 10 year old son ( another post lol) Before she came I booked an A1 English Test with Trinity Exams in London, for her to take the test in Manchester, our nearest test centre, cost 80 pounds. She had heard from her freinds here that it was very difficult and it had to be done online, and it included speaking, listening, reading and writing, not the case. Apparently in Thailand the test is done by Pearsons PTE, who also do this A1 Test online, part of there test includes reading and writing, although the UK Border Agency do not require this part, but is accepted as a higher qualification, Pearsons are aware of this and obviuosly charge more. I am not sure if there is anyone in BKK that just do the Speaking and Listening, but that is all you need.

 

Anyway we turn up at Manchester, and after studying, through watching videos of the test involved online at Trinity Exams. It took all of 6 mins, and she passed with an B its graded A,B,C,D each is a pass. The reason she didnt get an A was she forget what day it was, when asked lol. But the test is very simple and straight forward you can view the test on videos at Trinity Exams, has I write this her certificate as just come through the Post lol,
