Hey guys,

Me and a few friends all in our early 20s are planning on doing our first Pattaya trip this December. We are looking for a place at around 800-1000 Bhat

1.I read most of the hotel reviews and I felt that Jasmine hotel and Sutus court hotel fit our bill.(a nice place with large rooms, clean, girl friendly, great staff, centrally located, safe and affordable) - am I correct in my judgement?

2.All of us are newbies,so I asked my travel agent to book the hotels for us - (3 or hopefully 4 guys.I would prefer a place with a bath tub.Do Jasmine or Sutus have tubs?

3.What are the recommended hotels for newbies(0 practical experience in Pattaya, although have been in Phuket) for like 800-1000 bhat which are close to action area as well?we just need a place to sleep and have breakfast - so bed must be comfortable, clean toilets, bath tub would be great(shower cubicle is a must tho),great staff, good food etc.

Any good place, close to action would be fine with us

Thanks and cheers

My first trip i stayed at Jasmine for a few nights, the only good thing about it is right on Walking Street.

i would spend a bit extra and stay pattay bay or flipper lodge

Only thing I can help you with is I have heard from a friend the a/c units are old and noisy at Sutus. Maybe not all rooms tho, could be just his.

I stayed in the new rooms at Sutus Court (850 baht/night) several times this past July and August and the airconditioning units worked fine without any undue noise. The only negative I found was somewhat low water pressure when staying on the top floor (7th floor) and even then it was not real bad. However there was no bath tub. I am not sure how to describe the showers. They were not what I would call a shower cubicle, but they were also not just a part of the bathroom by the toilet as one finds in many of the nonluxury hotels in Thailand. The shower is mostly walled off from the rest of the bathroom with an endless supply of steady hot water and the space allocated for the shower is huge. There are two lower tiers of rooms costing even less for which I have no experience.

If you like Soi Buhkoi then the location is great with many restaurants, serious massage parlors, LK Metro, baht bus route right on your doorstep or a shortwalk away. Sutus Court has become my home when in Pattaya but of course it depends where you want to be in Pattaya and what are your luxury/cost preferences.
