Is there any entertainment for non-drinker from 20:00 to 01:00?

I am going to visit Pattaya third time in February 2013 and spend 4 weeks with my Thai girlfriend. She is working in a Go-Go and will go to work Friday/Saturday/Sunday (other days we are going to stay together). I don't drink and smoke, and not going to cheat on her and I am bored of bars and discos and don't have plans to visit such places.

 

What can I do while she is working? I don't want to sit in her bar and look at her, neither I want to sit together with her daughter at her apartments, because I just don't want to bother her daughter with my presence. At my previous visit we lived together for two weeks and my girlfriend did not work. Her daughter didn't have anything against me, but anyway I am not planning to sit surrounded by 4 walls, I can do that in my home country.

 

Can anyone suggest some entertainment or activities in Pattaya? I was thinking about visiting gym, but it would take 2 hours maximum and I am not sure they work or not after 20:00.

It's an interesting question. I just realised that if you are not interested in drinking, screwing, discos or hanging around with bargirls, Pattaya is as boring as anywhere else in the world.

 

Maybe you could go for some massages or something. It's probably easier if u just screw around. If she works at a gogo she will understand.

The new Tony's gym on Soi Buakhao is open 24 hours and is very nice airy place to work out, so that is available to you - 90 baht for one visit or they have multiple visit punch cards. You follow that up with a massage to work out the kinks, a bit of thai food to stoke the engine a quick nap and it is already midnight!

 

Living here I always find Walking Street a fun place to watch people interact, the freelancers, tourists, and touts all mingling together - there is no place like it especially on the weekend. If you are super bored you can go upstairs to Baccara and watch the Japanese throw fistfuls of thai baht in the air as the girls scream...for some reason I never get tired of watching half-naked thai girls on all fours scrambling after a 20 baht note...

A movie as someone else said sounds like a good idea. sitting in a Starbucks with your laptop or ipad, people watching in a bar with a soft drink, if you can drive a motorbike you can go exploring around Pattaya or Jomtien. Massage is a good idea as well. Or you can just barfine her and compensate her for the three days she wants to work since you are only coming for 4 weeks.

Well, i'll be there in february 2013 as well and you are more than welcome, since you dont drink and smoke, to tag along and look at me in a bar, drinking and smoking

My suggestion is go to somewhere like Orn Bar on second road at the junction with Soi 10.

 

Yes it is a bar but they have live music and dancers from 8pm till 1am. Along with these they also have a magician or a clown or a ladyboy caberet.

 

Once the ladies realise you 'not want take lady' they leave you in peace and you can drink beer or water whatever takes your fancy. They also have a couple of big TVs for the sports events.

 

I am sure there are loads of other places with a band or entertainers that can keep you amused.
