Has anyone tried both places? Location-wise they are similar, but I was wondering if the Superior or Deluxe room at Pasadena is comparable to the rooms in the Evergreen building at Areca. Thanks for your input.

Found out the answer myself. Evergreen is better. I did not go to the Pasadena Lodge to check out the rooms myself, but I asked a girl I brought back to my room at the Areca. She had been to the Pasadena Lodge before.

Areca Lodge has a joiner fee for a 2nd girl and won't let you bring back anyone under 20. Don't know about Pasadena Lodge.

How many girls do you want? It's just being greedy!

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

I stayed at Areca last month, (Corona wing), and took two girls with me several times without having to pay any joiner fee. I have read your old replies about Areca and joiner fees. I think you might need an update on Areca Lodge's regulations

Probably most of hotels in Pattaya have a joiner fee for 2nd girl as a rule ( however they don't strictly comply with that rule ) . Areca Lodge isn't an exception . I'll check that in November ( I've booked a room at Evergreen Tower ) .

Good news if they've changed their policy. Hopefully they're now letting in girls under 20 too!

No problem. I like to ensure that BMs who might be considering staying there are aware of its policy on a 2nd joiner and girls under 20. That's my only issue with the place. This is a mongering board and many guys like to have 2 or more girls, plus there are many bargirls under 20, so it's only fair that people considering staying there know its policies. I don't consider I'm 'flaming' the hotel. Just stating facts about its operating policies. There are plenty of better, more girl friendly, places to stay in my opinion. But it is just my opinion.

There wasnt any joiners fee in Pasadena Lodge, not in july anyway.

I had a deluxeroom there for 3 weeks with no problem at all, great hotel and great staff, just ask Ice in reception she takes care of everything.

I last stayed at Areca in April. At that point still had the small sign on left hand side of counter warning of under 20 policy.

Stayed Areca in Evergreen end of September, never had any adverse contact from FOH staff at main entrance or Evergreen Foyer in fact although I was with a girl I know I would warn some in certain circumstances to make the girl hand over her ID, I get the impression that it was quiet as in hotel and Patts and as was BKK so no one was making waves.

Have stayed at the Areca many times. The girls seem to love it. Last one Imtook there had to have a full change of clothes before she left the bar & fretted desperately about the shoes she wore. After that an absolutely stunning night and even better morning.

Just checked Pasadena website & I can't even see a comparison.

One downer with AL. They charged me 50b for a glass which broke dropping into the sink, taxi was waiting so I let it go. Very cheapskate outlook though.

Is there a big difference between rooms in Evergreen Wing and Corona Wing ? Is it a quiet place ( there is a bar complex nearby ) ? And how is breakfast ?

Evergreen rooms are newer and bigger than Corona rooms.

All Areca complex is quite during the night.

Breakfast is good but there isn't much variety in the food served.

Cheers

There is not a big difference in my view. All rooms have been upgraded in Corona Wing and have flat screen TVs. Evergreen is though modern. Have stayed in both buildings and happy with either.
