Two police, one drug suspect wounded in roadside bomb attack in Yala

YALA, Oct 6 -- A Yala police pick-up truck carrying a suspected drug dealer was attacked in a roadside bombing on Yaha-Ban Niang road in Yala, wounding two police and a suspect.

All three were sent to a hospital in Yala.

According to the investigation, Yaha's Patae subdistrict police were transporting the suspect to the Yala provincial court for detention request.

The bomb was detonated while they were on Yaha-Ban Niang road. The explosion damaged the pick-up truck and wounded the three occupants.

Police said the explosion was a 20-kg homemade bomb, buried in the road. (MCOT online news)
