One dead, one seriously injured in late night road crash in Banglamung.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Jackgarin from Banglamung Police Station was called in to investigate a fatal road accident involving a single motorbike, which occurred on the Sukumvit Road near the Sukawadee Mansions in Banglamung in the early hours of Wednesday Morning. At the scene, the disabled driver of the motorbike, Khun Sophon aged 30, who is a former resident of the Mahathai School in Central Pattaya was lying on the road next to his damaged motorbike. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger on the bike, Khun Suwich aged 22 was seriously injured and taken to the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital where he is in a critical condition. Both men, who work for the World Gems Collection located on the North Pattaya Road had attended a party held at the house of the owner of World Gems in Lompok sub-district. Police suspect the driver may have been in a drunken state and collided with a street pylon to avoid another vehicle, however no witnesses to the accident have come forward at this time.
