Hi

I'm coming to LOS for a little longer this time my plan is to stay in Pattaya for one or two months then move somewhere else - Krabi or Chiang Mai - don't know yet.

OK so I'm looking for accomodation for one or two months in Patts - nothing special:

  • AC
  • Warm shower
  • Fridge
  • Maybe a little kitchen
  • Safe in room nice but optional
  • TV
  • WIFI would be great but optional
  • And one thing I would like some kind of security like a reception in a hotel

Location - not to far from Walking Street / LK Metro Area/ Soi Buakhao area

Price range - 4000-8000 THB

My TGF said that there are lots of places around Soi Buakaow from 4000-8000 THB per month but it seems those places are hard to find on the net.

It can be a hotel, apartment whatever - any ideas anyone

Thanks for your help

Maybe try a studio room at Center Condo? about 8K plus utilities. Very good location as you can walk back from Walking Street easily.

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

If you get something for THB4000 a month ($4.30 a day) post a picture of the place and the area it is located in. I think bar girls pay more than that for their slummy rooms.

No AC, no Wi-fi , no safe for what they get.

"for one or two months" Unlikely you will find anything at all in that price rage to suit. The cheaper places are normally 3 month minimum (with a deposit) in my experience.

OK, thanks for the info - do you by any chance know the names or websites for couple of cheaper places

"And were you pleased?" they asked Helen in Hell.

"Pleased?" answered she,when all Troy's towers fell;

And dead were Priam´s sons, and lost his throne?

And such a war was fought as none had known;

And even the Gods took part; and all because

Of me alone! Pleased?

I should say I was!"

Best is to rent a cheap guesthouse for a few days and look around yourself. Many of the cheaper places won't advertise on the net or even in English. There is tons of cheap accommodation but you usually get what you pay for. A place advertising for 4000 a month can charge you 10 baht a unit for electricity and if you run the AC a lot you can end up paying for power what pay for rent.

not true. well, it's only true if, like a bargirl, you insist on staying super close to walking st.. in that case yes 4000 is out of the question. But when i was moving from my house to my new condo, i had to get a place for 5 months to bridge the gap. I got a place on soi bongkot (other side of 3rd road from where exzite used to be). Brand new apartment building. Got a studio flat, flatscreen tv, aircon, wifi, furnished, all that, and it was 4500 baht a month. BUT you had to pay your own electric is the only catch. But not useful unless you have a motorbike as i wouldn't want to walk that far every day

Silver Place, also opposite Soi Exzyte, immediately next to Bliss!

that has its pro's and cons, Now my Bliss regular sees me coming and going...

Room now 7K as of Oct 1 8K, TV, fridge, hot shower, airco, little balcony. No safe , but nice and clean, once a week clean and linen change, cheap food downstairs with room service.

One of our members, former owner of Pattaya Bay Resort has some decent low cost units, around 6k per month. I have seen them and although basic they are very nice for the price.

Looked ok until saw the size of the looms at only 18 sq mtrs??Rabbit hutches spring to mind and would be prob sleeping with the door knob most nights??

Take it these look like there behind the PBR??

Better off up on 3rd road and along soi bongkot as lots of budget rooms and its where a lot of thais stay too, so if you not mind karaoke bars, stray dogs and food cart stalls you will be ok.

Chaba Gardens was my choice last year and very nice too with a pool and free wifi.
