Suspected drug dealer caught by narcotics officer in Sattahip District

Government Narcotics Officials and Police joined forces to arrest a suspected drug dealer in the Sattahip area on Thursday morning. Authorities were aware of the suspect who used to be an illegal money lender who had problems with customers paying him back. He decided to enter a life of crime and was lured to a resort in Sattahip where officers were waiting for him to arrive with a consignment of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as “Ice”. Khun Yernyong aged 37 soon arrived and was arrested straight away. He was carrying 92 individual bags of “Ice” totaling 100g. He was also in possession of a modified Glock handgun and bullets along with three mobile phones and an electronic weighing device. He was taken to his home where further ammunition was found and items suspected of being purchased with money gained from selling drugs were seized including a car, motorbike and a tool set. Police are now looking to arrest his supplier in due course.
