3 year boy dies in a tragic accident outside East Pattaya home

In Pattaya at 11.30 on Saturday morning, a  3-year-old boy was killed in a tragic accident when he was crushed by a steel gate outside his home. Young Jonathan was returning home, a town house at the Darapan Village in Soi Kaotalo with his parents, 42 year old British citizen Ewan Chapman and his 31 year old Thai wife. The young boy went ahead to open the large, steel sliding gate, but as the gate opened it ran beyond its restraining guides and fell on top of the boy. The rescue services were called but the boy died before they arrived. Jonathan’s distraught mother pleaded with other parents to make sure their gates were safe to prevent any further tragedies like this happening to their children.
