A 26-year-old Uzbekistan woman was arrested for prostitution by Bangkok police. She denied involvement in a recent trafficking case of six female Uzbekistan women forced into prostitution in Bangkok. A suspected madam escaped arrest in that case.

BANGKOK – August 31, 2012 [PDN]: the latest arrest of a Uzbekistan prostitute was announced at the Division of Subduing for Human Trade by Pol. Maj. Gen. Chavalit Sawaengpeuch, police Commander; Pol. Col. Prasert Pattanadee; Pol. Col. Pracul Saengsongpha, Deputy Commander; and Pol. Col. Chitpop Tomeurn.

The suspect was identified as Ms. Rasulova Munisa, age 26, nationality Uzbekistan. She was arrested in a seventh-floor room of a condominium building at 34/5Tambon North Klongtan, Amphur Wattana, Bangkok.

The arrest warrant of the criminal court charges her with an accusation of doing human trade to find benefit from selling sexual service.

Police also suspected Ms. Rasulova of being involved with a recent trafficking case of six Uzbedistan women who were brought to Bangkok to be prostitutes, and were later arrested.

Of the six Uzbekistan female victims, police sent three of them to Baan Kredtrakarn, a recovery house in Nonthaburi province to restore their mental status. The other three ladies had expired passports, and were sent to immigration police to prosecute according to the law. However, the arrested suspect Ms. Rasulova denied being involved in the case.

Police have already implicated one Uzbekistan suspect in that trafficking case, Ms. Nozani Aslieva. A police investigation officer had collected evidence and asked for the arrest warrant from the criminal court. But when he tried to serve the arrest warrant, Ms. Nozani had already escaped.
