Anybody stayed recently or staying now in View Talay 2b?

I'm planning to change from Central Pattaya to Jomtien in November and stay 3 months in View Talay 2b.

Feels good to change scenery to not so "cracy place" for a while :)

But place is still quite close to Pattaya 'cause this View Talay 2b is located "at the right side" of Jomtien and for example WS can be easily reached with baht bus in 10min. And there is of course some action available in Jomtien also...

I think I got a nice deal with this condo. 41sqm, 11th floor, 15000baht/month. And it is high season.

Anybody have some positives or negatives say about View Talay 2b? I would be intrested to hear...

looks nice. well it's now day 3 of my 1st ever visit, so my opinion won't carry weight. but this estate agent i spoke to this afternoon said he lives in jomtien and it's pretty dead in jomtien after 9pm, and lots of retired folks that way. he said there are no malls over there.

i've stayed at view talay a few times great location imho... jump on a baht bus or rent a mbike... great pool to swim in... entertainment complex across the street open till late but if you want major action just go into patts... personally i like the ability to get away from it all once in a while... i may be in the area over those months let's grab a beer if so... 15k is an okay deal for those months... plenty of properties but your unit looks pretty good....

I stay before 6 months in viewtalay 1 b wich is a 200 meter more to Pattaya situated from Viewtalay 2, and find those VT's very good for the price (would never choose anymore VT 5 to stay for 25000bht /month)

Very good 24 hours supermarket in front Viewtalay 1 have many western products & descent breads in store

Really quick bathbus to Pattaya for 10baht or 20 baht to Pattaya central

Ps; pattaya airport bus have begin & end station in front ViewTalay 1 (200 meter from your VT2 ) for 134 bht you have coming & going transport by hour from Suvarnhabumi !! saves you a 2000bht total taxi fare :GoldenSmile1:

Considering that VT2 is now occupied 80-90% by thai people who'll never pay more than 5.000 bahts/month a studio, 15.000 bahts/mont is not a real bargain.

But ... it's not easy to bargain when you're booking on internet.

Actually I was not booking on internet. I stay now in Pattaya and handled this face to face. But hmmm, for me 15000 sounded very nice for this kind of NEW room 'cause I've been all over pattaya looking for room for my self November-February and went like 40 different places, apartments, condos, guest houses etc etc and for 15000 I found nothing like this, not even in "same page". All sort of grappy places for that price. Prices seems to go up high season (naturally :) ) and I found only a few potential places (below 20k) and those were of course fully booked many many weeks ago.

Anyway, I'm more than happy with this one I found but still a little curious about that 5000 you mentioned and makes me wonder the quality of the rooms if the price is 5k and what kind idiot the owner must be if he/she rent his room for 5k cause surely he/she would get some farang to pay at least 10k, if the room is good or even average.

But then again, my knowledge of View Talay's is very limited, just got me thinking and writing here...

Well anyway, I'm happy. Mai pen rai

+1. I live in VT 2A and it is mostly foreigner although many of us have Thai wives or girlfriends. Cheapest unit I have seen in either building is 10,000 per month on a long term lease. 15k for a high season short term rental in that building is s a good deal.

You must be confused with VT1 !!

looks real nice. who did you book from? Can you rent by one month or is there a 3-6 month minimum? Good price imo. Looking for a place Oct-Nov and as you said very hard to find a place like yours in central patts for 15K.

I booked it from here. Finnish agent:

My room:

http://happyhomespattaya.com/en/

Under "Details" you can always see the rent for different period of times. For example this my room is

1month: 18k

3months: 15k

6months: 14k

1year: 13k

They have hundreds of condos in their listings so just send them email and tell what you want and where and when. They will reply and let you know if they have anything which meets your requirements.

jake I take it you are now staying in VT2 what are the cost of eletric & water? Do you have to get your own internet? Are there bed sheets and towels or do you have to bring your own? Is Sami a good guy to deal with and are there any hidden costs to be aware of. Thanks in advance. Cheers

I stay now in Diana-oasis in Soi Buakhau. I go to VT2B in November.

Electricity was something like 4 baht/unit if I remember correctly. Water I don't remember but water is kind of cheap so makes not much difference.

You have to take your "own internet", that's is what I understood.

Bed sheets and towels are probably up to the owner of condo. In my room there were both 2 sets.

There shouldn't be any hidden costs, unless you count cleaning service as a hidden cost :)

I don't personally know Sami but understood from a few other finn that he is a good guy.

Hi,

You can read my report here where I stayed in VT 2B on 10th floor in a 37 sq mtr studio. The room upstairs was being modernised at the time and prob then 1 you will be stayin in hahaha

Think the going rate is 12,000bt p/mth for few months rental during high season (Nov-March).

But I only payed 8,500bt p/mth and in low season and was over 7 x months period.
