Best independent travel agent in uk?

Featured Replies

Just wondering which travel agent you guys use for flights as we are needing to book 2 flights but with different return dates back to uk as I have to return to work.

I don't think it's possible to do this on ebookers or likewise sites as the flight dates and returns have to be identical.

Thanks for any feedback given.

I use skyscanner.net to get a good idea it covers loads of cheap flight sites

Thanks for your reply but I am not looking for another comparison website, just a small company I can call tell them what we are looking for and the dates and let them search as our request is not available booking online.

We need 2 return flights just 1 of the flights needs to return on a different date to the other?

We used a company that was heavily recommended by members of this forum last year have just forgotten the name.

Regards

You just need to do two separate flight searches in skyscanner one for each set of dates then narrow it down by airline and time of departure so that you can get the same outward flight for both people. This is easy with skyscanner. You can just select the airlines you are interested in (tick boxes on lower LHS) and then narrow the departure time (sliders on top LHS) so that only the same flight appears for both.

If you pay someone to do it they will just use skyscanner or a similar website and add on a 10% fee for doing it for you.

Once you have your flights and know who is cheapest most places have a phone number you can ring up and speak to someone if you actually want to book two flights in one go rather than two individual flights.

why not book both tickets seperately one after the other and phone the agent afterwards to request seating...might be worth running it past them first incase they predict any grief...even if they cant fix the seating if you arrive as check in opens you can request seating then

i booked through westeast travel a couple of flights ago...ive used them a few times now and they give good service and advice, they can also hold seats for you without charge when possible, you could potentially reserve the seats at no cost book individually and then let the agent fiddle with the seating plan for you, they are a thai company operating out of the uk

all the best

Definately Skyscanner for me. Even gave them a mention on me old Blog! some time back. The best thing about Skyscanner is it only shows me what I am looking for. I dont want, excuse the pun a " Landing page" hehe full of ads and hotel/holiday offers. Just give me the flight, the time and the price. End of story.

Good luck

haha at least bungee's on the ball

This is not a problem as mentioned above all you have to do is book tickets separately with travel agent or on the Internet,i have used sothhall travel were i have received good prices and good service,i also use netflights.com and opodo.com were i have been able to get good deals. All you have to do is go to the check in desk together and say you are travelling together and would like seats together,i have done this many a times when i have met a friend at the airport who had booked ticket separately and we just go to check in desk together and have been able to get seats together. This should not be a problem ,the check in staff can be very help sometimes if you speak with them in the right manner.

+1 for West East. All the Thai's i know in the UK use them and always have and no complaints i've ever heard.

Dial a flight. are good

Say you are looking at inter net sites. as you are talking.

May help with the price's
