Travel to Khon Kean

I want to vist Khon Kean and have been looking at flights. It looks pretty expensive to me because Thai Air seems to be the only operator.

 

So what is the smart way to go to KK ? I am guessing that the A/C express busses are a good option but don't know where to find the schedule. Is it online ? Maybe online but in thai only ?

 

Any tips from the BM's about the best (considering economics too) way to visit KK will be appreciated.

Have you considered horse back, if ya get a girl on the front you can turn the trotting motion into shafting her!! So you can shaft her all the way there.. up and down, up and down. Maybe no one will notice!!

You might try a domestic airline flying into one of the other large Isaan cities and bussing it from there. Not sure how that works out time or cost wise.

Once made the trip to Khon Kaen took a bus from Mor Chit station in Bangkok, if you can get hold of them you'll get a schedule.

 

Think at the time I used a backpackers bible to see travel times.
