Not that there is a good time to leave LOS, but when you come to choose the time of your departure flight what do you take into consideration.

Do taxis leave you waiting late at night, are you able to get up for an early flight, is the draw of that "last beer/soapy/lbfm" enough to make it an early evening flight?

Thanks for you feedback guys

A 3am flight leaving Bangkok I find is the best mate. Gives you that last chance to have a few beers in a gogo. And regarding taxi, book Mr T to your hotel, good price and always on time to your hotel.. Infact that come 10 minutes early mate.

Cheers MJ is that a pick up about 12 midnight?

I take it you have to check in about an hour to 2 hours prior to the flight like the UK?

I see your countdown Clock stating 337 days to go.... That is a long time wait.. Like myself i was absent from Pattaya for 16 months , only 10 days to go now.... Happy days.

Other Note, Best time to leave LOS is in the early morning between 12am to 3am..

Yeah mate, nice and peaceful time I think gives you time to get yourself together (soi 6) and everything packed before the taxi arrives. I flew with etihad back to the UK and was home lunch time which is a good time also mate.

I prefer the flight's that leave about 11pm. No hassle to get to the aiport as the rushour ends at about 7pm and with two valiums I'm able to sleep almost the whole flight.......

If you have time to play with....taking a red-eye flight is probably the best thing do. You might arrive at your final destination at a crazy time, but at least you were able to stay in the LOS a little longer. Etihad is a great airline...they are second to Emirates.

I think an early morning flight is good, around 8am. Gives you one last 1/2 night out with the taxi departing around 5am.

Last time I made the mistake of a night flight with a 7pm taxi departure. It's difficult to leave at the best of times. But leaving when everyone else is heading out for the night is a big bummer. Even worse when you get waved off by a sweetheart who is all dolled up, because then you know exactly what you are missing out on when sitting at the airport. :-(

i prefer to spend my last night in BKK , but then i usually spend 3 month in thailand so its not too bad

"And were you pleased?" they asked Helen in Hell.

"Pleased?" answered she,when all Troy's towers fell;

And dead were Priam´s sons, and lost his throne?

And such a war was fought as none had known;

And even the Gods took part; and all because

Of me alone! Pleased?

I should say I was!"

I always use EVA. All the other carriers into my home town are American flagged and quite a bit pricier. I leave the states at 0200 but arrive in Bangkok at 1130, which is nice. I have a choice of times when leaving but usually it's between 1200 and 1400, arriving in my home town about 1730.

You can't always get what you want but if you try, sometimes you might find that you get what you need.
