Off-Shore construction worker injured in live-cable accident off Pattaya Beach

A construction worker had to be rescued from an off-shore site close to the Bali Hai Port on Pattaya Beach just before 4am on Saturday. Rescue Services were called to the Port and waited for the injured man, Khun Pishaert aged 42, to be brought to the pier by Jet Ski. He works for the Glory Construction Company who are currently working on a new pier located 500 meters from the Beach. The man is thought to have come into contact with live power cables fed to the site. The workers were forced to work at night due to the times of the low tide and on Friday Night due to a combination of poor lighting and a rainstorm, the incident occurred which luckily resulted in only minor injuries sustained by the man who some say is lucky to have escaped with his life.
