Englishman accused of offences against minors, rearrested by Police in Jomtien

A 47 year old English resident of Pattaya who is currently on bail relating to charges of conducting lewd acts with minors was rearrested on Friday Night after a Judge issued an arrest warrant for him as he failed to comply with his bail conditions. Officers from the Police Region 2 Child and Women Protection Unit arrested Mr. Ian Charles Tracy at the Jomtien Complex Condotel where he resides on the 2^nd floor. In May 2008 he was arrested by Pattaya’s Tourist Police on a charge of offering two boys aged 10 and 12 years, money in exchange for sexual acts at a house he used to rent at the Sombat Village in Central Pattaya. He went to Court and was granted Bail but as part of the bail conditions he had to report to the Courthouse on a regular basis which he failed to do. An arrest warrant number 946/2554 dated 14^th September 2011 was issued in the name of Mr. Tracy who was arrested on Friday Night. During the arrest Mr. Tracy made attempts to contact his Lawyer and verbally abused journalists who were invited by Police to film the arrest. Mr. Tracy is now on-remand pending a Court appearance.

Different scenario I think. In the link you mention I believe he was set up by an unscrupulous lawyer.

 

Anyways, in this case, the guy was given clear bail conditions which he failed to abide by, hence he was arrested. Not really the conduct of someone that's innocent if you ask me.

The fact appears to be that the man is innocent, because it was the wrong man and apparently was only banged up on trumped up evidence, and evidence of the victim which was totally ignored

 

Since the man who was on bail (and did a runner) is named "Andrew Tracy", the man who was nicked is named "Ian Tracy", who was subsequently banged up and then released when it was eventually acknowledged he wasn't Andrew Tracy it suggests that he wasn't on bail at all so hadn't committed any offence
