Burmese Man Stabbed By Jealous Rival

A 28-year-old Burmese man was seriously injured after being stabbed by his ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend. The victim was trying to reconcile with his ex-girlfriend, which angered her new boyfriend, who stabbed him repeatedly with a pair of scissors.

On August 24, 2012, at 4 a.m., a report of a stabbing was received by Pol. Lt. Vitsanu Chaisuwan, Deputy Inspector, Pattaya police station, Chonburi province. He rushed to the scene with police inspectors, the volunteer police and the rescue officer from the Sawangboribulthammasathan Pattaya foundation.

The incident occurred at the Fly Bird condominium, south Pattaya, Moo 10 Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung. At the scene, a lot of people were gathered around the sentry station to the entrance of condominium complex.

At the sentry station, police found the injured man, identified as Mr. Sar Karl, age 28, nationality Burmese. He was bleeding heavily all over his clothes and pools of blood were on the ground.

Mr. Sar had been stabbed by a pair of scissors in his head and right arm until he was severely injured. The rescue officer performed first aid and sent him to Banglamung hospital.

Later, a total of 15 police and volunteer police officers blockaded the condominium to find the suspect. They found him in a third-floor room in the back building.

The suspect was identified as Mr. San Aung Yang, age 30, nationality Burmese. He was still drunk, his face was bruised, and there was a bloodstain on his neck. Police found the red scissors used in the stabbing in the room, which they kept for evidence.

Police questioned Ms. San Thee, age 30, the girlfriend of the suspect, about the incident. She said she had been drinking liquor with the suspect, who is her new boyfriend.

Then they heard someone shouting outside her front door. So she opened the door and saw her ex-boyfriend Mr. Sar. But they had ended their relationship about five months ago, she said.

However, Mr. Sar had come to reconcile with her. This made her new boyfriend Mr. San jealous and angry. So Mr. San used the scissors to stab her ex-boyfriend, until Mr. Sar was seriously injured and ran away to ask for help at the sentry box.
