Drunk Dutchman robbed of phone and motorbike key on Pattaya Beach Road

A Dutchman was allegedly robbed of his Iphone and Motorbike Key by two opportunist thieves in the early hours of Friday outside of a 24-hour Fast Food Restaurant. The incident was seen by passers-by who called the Police who in-turn arrested the two suspects close-by. The victim of the street robbery is Mr. Eric Van ‘T Klooster aged 50 who reportedly collapsed in front of the KFC Restaurant at the Royal Garden Plaza on Pattaya Beach and his phone fell out of his pocket onto the pavement. The two suspects, Khun Wirasak aged 29 and Khun Raklai aged 31, who initially claimed they wanted to help Mr. Klooster, decided to take the phone and a motorbike key found inside his pocket before leaving the area at-speed. The incident was seen by members of the public who provided Police with a description of the pair who were caught on Pattaya Second Road, moments later. All concerned parties were taken to Pattaya Police Station, including the Dutchman who was still heavily intoxicated, although he was able to confirm the phone and motorbike key were his. A SIM card, also belonging to Mr. Klooster was found and returned to him. Both suspects were charged with theft and are currently behind bars awaiting a Court appearance.
