Whats up fellow BMs

So I'm planning my first trip to LOS in february 2013 Honestly can not wait, and been planning for a few weeks now :GoldenSmile1:

Here is a concern that I have encountered time and time again during other international travel I have done (Backed packed Europe 3months and South America 3months).

I'm 6'3 in good shape 210lbs kind of the broad shoulder type from playing sports in high school and college but the unfortunate side effect is my back is completely shot and without a firm bed to accommodate both my height and back, I would be out for the count every morning from stiffness and dull agonizing pain. And with the booze/women :GoldenSmile1:

muscle relaxers or pain killers simply are not an option..

Need a pretty firm bed, but not stiff as a board. Preferably around the soi 7 soi 8 area to center of the action and price around 2k thb Willing to move up on price and or location those are just ideal.

Any board members have a recommendation for this?

Thanks in advance, Looking forward to this first of many trips.. Also if anyone is going to be in pattaya in February feel free to send me a message and lets meet up for a beer :GoldenSmile1:

I have exactly the same problem. I would suggest C-wing suite at flipper house. Soi 7. The bed there matches all of those aspects.

The reason why i suggest the suite is just the fact that that's the only room I've tried at the hotel, ask them if they have the same bed available in cheaper rooms. but even the suite is only about 2900baht, but should be cheaper if lowseason.

You will have a problem not finding a firm bed. Most are way to hard.

Thanks for the heads up, Was actually looking at that one as an option. Appreciate the insight. Back problems suck! lol

I'd like to find someplace that has Sleep Number beds. I'd pay whatever they wanted.

If you need hard beds you'll love Asia. LOL

hey

you`ll love thailand...

my problem is the exact opposite... the beds are way to firm

like the guys said before.. 90% of the hotels offer firm beds with no other options

enjoy

I too have back issues and initially found these asian hotel beds way too stiff

But I wake up in the morning feeling great on them

So much so I want to change my useless soft bed back home

The last thing you want here is to have a shitty nights sleep and feel drowsy the next day

Also get a massage each day or especially after you land, those cramped airline seats have got to be worse for you than the beds here

The less crap you add here the easier it is to read the forum posts.

If there was a place that had waterbeds I'd think I'd give it a try!

Same same - firm beds are way healthier - throw in exercise to firm up back and stomach and you are sleeping well again. The bed is the issue in the west and people refuse to believe.

Like mentioned above all the beds I have used at the hotels were very firm.. I don't think you'll have to much drama finding one.
