66 year old man stuck in elevator at Jomtien apartment block

Early on Thursday Morning rescue services were called to an apartment in Soi 3 off Jomtien Beach Road following reports of someone stuck inside an elevator. Rescuers made their way to the third floor of the Ami Anna Guest House and began speaking with Khun Pongpeeboon aged 66, manager of the block who was stuck inside. He was in the process of removing refuse from each floor, as he does every morning. The elevator doors closed on the third floor but it failed to move. The doors to the elevator would also not re-open. He started to bang on the door until a resident came out to investigate and alerted the authorities. After being stuck inside for nearly one hour, the man was rescued and declared the elevator out-of-bounds pending a full inspection.
