12 suspected drug users caught at Central Pattaya Police Checkpoint

Nine women and Three men were arrested at a Pattaya Police Checkpoint in Central Pattaya late on Wednesday Night. The Checkpoint was located inside Soi Nokow and after just a few minutes, the first of the 12 suspects was pulled over and subjected to a roadside drugs test. The suspects were taken to Pattaya Police Station and later taken to Hospital for a more accurate drugs test which confirmed they had all taken Methamphetamine recently. Each person was charged with class 1 drug consumption and held overnight before they appeared in Court on Thursday Morning where they received custodial sentences ranging from 30 to 60 days depending on whether they had been previously arrested on similar charges.
