I am doubting around LK Metro for Canturburry tales of the Irish Rovers (would love the ''soccer'' or maybe the sandara ... or For some questhouse on Walking Street (because i will be @ the disco's all nights)

A quest house sounds really awesome!

Have a great first trip mate...it's always the best or at least the most memorable.

I always over think my accomodation.

As you said there are so many options it makes it hard to pick somewhere.

Both places you suggested are very popular with PA members so I'm sure you will be happy with both.

If you are staying more than a few days, why not split your days between a place in/near Walking Street and one in the LK Metro/Soi Buakow areas. You're going to get quite a different experience staying in each area. The LK Metro and Soi Buakow area has a good diversity of places open 24 hours, a variety of restaurants, beer bars open till 2 am, gogos, regular and special massage places, etc... Walking Street has the very popular bars, gogos open till 4 am, discos, strolling tourists, etc..but mostly from evening to early AM, but a short walk or baht bus ride to the malls.

Many nice guesthouses within the LK Metro quad (too many to mention that are very reasonably priced) and on Walking Street there's P72 and Secrets (assuming you're budget minded since your query is about 'guesthouses.') Although I live here just on the edge of town, I still enjoy using the guesthouses in the LK Metro/Soi Buakow areas and in Secrets when I know I'll be on WS very late.

If you're arriving during non-high season, it's usually not a problem getting a room via 'walk-in,' unless there's a flood in Bangkok or other special event so you can book your initial days and then be flexible with the rest of your stay.

Ok, enjoy.

Looking for a quest house. When you enter the place they give you a quest to bang at least 3 girls a day. :GoldenSmile1:

OK seriously if you want a guesthouse near WS I'd recommend Sanya Nightstar or Secrets, both in Soi14.

I know it's pretty baby, but I didn't take it out for air.

Agree with another poster, the butchers arms is a great place to stay.Very nice rooms and good food.I left a review of the place in the accomodation section on here about 3 weeks ago.The baht buses run past regular so if you want the discos of Walking Street they are merely5-10 mins away.

There are several hotels in the LK Metro area that charges 500 THB. Decent room and A/C.

Ok, I usually stay around soi7 or 8 but thinking about it I might fancy a change so a couple of questions about Irish Rovers....

Do they have coffee making facilities in room? I need caffiene, lots of it, but this is the one thing I miss in budget hotels (dont usually have).

Are they OK when you return to hotel blind drunk at 5.00AM with half the girls from Windmill on your arm?

(Last guest house I stayed in was locked at night and you had to hammer on the door to wake the night porter!)

thanks
