Masked Men Rob Woman in Soi Buakhao Condo

A 27-year-old sleeping woman was awakened by three masked intruders in her soi Buakhao apartment. A similar break-in occurred last week to another woman in south Pattaya. The suspects have not been caught in both cases.

PATTAYA – August 22, 2012 [PDN]; at 5 a.m., Pol. Lt. Col. Patsa Dechpakkul, investigating officer, Pattaya police station, was notified that three masked robbers broke into a woman’s apartment and stole her property.

He rushed to the scene with a police team at the Diana Estate condominiums, Soi Buakhao Moo 9 Tambon Nong Preu, AmphurBanglamung,Chonburi province.

In her room, police found “Ms. A” (alias), age 27, who works for a tour company. Ms. A was still frightened and crying when police found her.

She said she had been sleeping in the room, but woke up when someone entered her room. She saw a thin Thai man standing beside her bed. He was wearing black clothes and wore a cloth cap to conceal his face. He appeared to be a drug addict.

The robber threatened to shoot her if she shouted or asked for assistance. Then two more robbers appeared. The men used a towel to tie her up. Ms. A said it was difficult to see anything because the lights were off in the room.

After the men escaped with her property, Ms. A then untied herself and checked her room for missing items. The men had taken an iPhone 4 and two Nokia cell phones, a notebook computer, and 5,000 THB cash. She then called the police.

Police inspected the premises, and noticed there was a parking lot behind her room. Bordering the parking lot was a fence only 4 meters high that intruders could easily climb over.

The robbers had left a bottle of water and other items in the victim’s room, which the police kept for evidence. The items were sent to the evidence verification unit to inspect for fingerprints of the suspects

The police made notes for evidence and quickly dispatched the detective police team to investigate for traces of the robbers to arrest and prosecute according to the law.

A reporter noted similarities to a case that occurred about a week ago, when two masked intruders broke into the apartment of a sleeping woman in south Pattaya. The 31-year-old victim said the thin young men who robbed her also seemed to be drug addicts.

The suspects in both cases are still on the loose, so women living alone are advised to beware of the drug addict robbers, who will probably strike again.

Female Having Her Period Avoids Rape By Robbers

A resourceful woman avoided being raped by two men who broke into her Pattaya apartment and demanded sex. She protested that she was having her period, so the men instead tied her up and stole her property before escaping.
