Thai man stealing from patients

Man arrested after he unlawfully attempts to claim the belongings of a patient at local Hospital.

 

 

In the early hours of Tuesday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Santi from Pattaya Police Station received a call from medical staff at the Pattaya Memorial Hospital located in Central Pattaya relating to a Thai Man who claimed he was the cousin of a patient who had just been admitted and demanded that the nurses hand over his valuables. They refused to do so after one of the receptionists recognized the man who had tried to do this on a number of occasions and he always targets unconscious patients who are unable to confirm Khun Tanapon’s identity. Police arrived and arrested Khun Tanapon aged 38 who claimed he was the cousin of a patient who had just been admitted in an unconscious state. The man changed his story when confronted by Police and he claimed that he only wanted the ID card of the patient and nothing else. Police decided to take the man away based on accounts of his previous attempts to collect belongings of former patients. Khun Tanapon will now be processed in accordance with the law.
