Mr. Mac Hotel

Hi...I came across Mr. Mac hotel while browsing on Booking.com/city/th/pattaya.html?aid=348897"] Booking.com[/url]. Would someone kindly advise as how is this hotel...? Is it girl friendly? Any other updates, etc.

used to be a gay hotel - dunno about now. run by gay men and a whole load of lb's hanging round.

Definetly not a gay hotel !! Also very girl friendly .

 

Ive stayed there maybe 6 or 8 times over the past 5 years , and is now my favourite hotel in Pattaya . Ms. Thitiwan ( King ) who does the bookings is very helpful . Just up the road 80 meters is Soho , a girly bar . Never seen any lb's .

 

Only negatives i would say , are no lift and no pool . Otherwise good value for good rooms .

That's good to know. It was widely advertised on the gay forums as at least gay friendly if not gay. I have it in my head that the farang that run it were maybe gay. Here's my 2010 [i think] post [but event must've been earlier than that]:

 

stayed at RG one time and walked up to mr macs to chk it out. hardcore ladyboys all mincing it up outside. i dont mind LB's. But it is gay/Lb haunt. or was.

 

Just did a google on mrmac and gay keywords and you get stuff like:

 

MR MAC hotel (gay friendly) 146/182 Thappraya Road, South Pattaya ...

 

Also from 2009:

 

It seems that I read somewhere that Mr Mac's caters to gays. Can anyone verify or refute this?

 

These might be old and dated, though. Even on my 2010 post there was people doubting it was gay.
