Drug Suspect escapes from Police Custody in East Pattaya

A drug dealing suspect escaped from Police custody early on Tuesday Morning after he had been caught with 399 Yabba Tablets by Police and Volunteers in East Pattaya. The suspect was caught behind the Far Mi Art Gun Village in Soi Nongprue and was being prepared for transport to Banglamung Police Station. He had already been handcuffed but used his body weight to push one of the volunteers, Khun Wishit aged 64, onto the floor. He dislocated his shoulder and the distraction allowed the suspect, Khun Wira aged 22, time to escape into a nearby forest. A search was made but he could not be found. The drugs and a motorbike belonging to the suspect were seized and a manhunt is now under-way.
