Is there any way to turn the chat box off?

Can the chat box at the top of the screen be removed? the refresh button at the bottom of the chat box keeps disappearing and reappering, causing my screen to move up and down every second or so. Any help would be appreciated.

on the top right corner of the chat box is a (-) sign.. click on it and it will away...

its BETTER to be PISSED OFF then PISSED ON!!!..
