Can you advise why you have greatly increased all prices at all of your restuarants?

Much better deals and quality to be had around town

the only increase we have done is 20 bart on chips in the jolly and 10 bart on steaks both due to the fact produce prices have incresed and because of our small margins we have to pass it on .. ie steak went from 245b kg to 300b a increase of 13b on a 250g steak so i had to pass it on. maybe u get a smaller steak else where for less money but im sure you cannot as they wont be making any money to ... but 159b for steak chips or mash and garden peas bisto gravy does not seem a great deal of money in any currancy .

Two questions Tim:

1. Do you still do the golf trips + club hire?

2. Are there still 2 competing restuarants there?

3. Do you do Devonshire Teas (scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam)?

4. As above, please give info on refurb rooms (photos, rates etc).

OK - that's four questions.

Thanks for the photo upload of the rooms.

They look pretty good.

I might duck my head in next month for a better look as I'm looking for somewhere to stay for the next trip.

Soi Lenkee area is always my fav area to stay.

Hi Tim.

Was over there in May, there were what seemed two Le Katai hotels side by side.

Danny ran the golf from one, think he was the owner.

Is this still the way it is.

I'm over there in October for 30 nights.

Could be interested in staying there at your place if the golf is still available

5 days a week.

750 baht with brekky, sounds good is there a safe in the rooms, can I get a balcony

Room, are there fridges, and the showers hope you don't have to tub in the shitter,

Hate getting my feet wet having a drop.

Place looks good mate.

At first I thought the price of the rooms had shot up but I see the price now includes breakfast. Breakfast can mean many things, exactly what is the breakfast. Damn reread the OP, breakfast is full English so not a bad deal, IMHO.

Thanks for the pics. The new decor looks good and modern.

I stayed at Katai about 2 years ago.

An OK place in a good location, but screaming for a refurb.

Your photos seem to answer my other questions above.

It is back to being a single restaurant + hotel + bar.

The previous situation was not a good one.

Also there is no golf trips board out front - so no more golf.

Correct me if any of the above is wrong.

Danny used to do a good job with those golf trips.

They were reasonably priced, well organised and run every day Mon - Fri.

They were popular too: would routinely sell out the max 24 places.

If the Devonshire is not carrying on with them - a business opportunity for someone?
