Here in Asia it doesn't matter much because i stay in such shoddy guest houses that an extra day's only about 200 to 800 baht anyway, and that's not a loss that would cause signficant pain (except to the extremely miserly types, i think Anna Key would be fuming). even Anna would be OK though because most guest houses, if they don't need the room, seem to have a mai bpen rai attitude about checkout time (i've been off by a few hours, sleeping it off, and not been billed extra several times).
