:P So back in July when the whole of Baseball wrote them off as done (14 1/2 games back)and in dead last. Now we sit

1 1/2 games back with the wildcard all but wrapped up. Breathing down the necks of those filthy beantown idiots up north. Life is good. Everyones healthy, playing well, and hitting like its a feeding frenzy amonst sharks. We own Boston, they cant touch us. The World Series beckons. Im ready for the 27th title in Team history...and the 28th 29th, 30th...etc etc etc. :Agree1:

The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it?

 

A death. What's that, a bonus ? I think the life cycle is all backwards.

 

You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work.

 

You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement.

 

You do drugs, alcohol, you party, you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities.

 

You become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating... you finish off as an orgasm.

 

It's perfect !

That makes twice this week and the Jays swept the Sox as well. Maybe the wrong teams from the east are making the playoffs?

No the proper teams are in. as usual. Seanie...yeah pretty stoked. LOL The Bluejays are a good team. Hell thier starters all have 2.00 era's or better. Thier no slouches.

The season is 162 games. Tends to smooth out the small local discrepancies and guarantee that the rignt teams make it I'd say, mate.

And "sock her" looks like kickball. And rugby looks like "kill the guy with the ball", which we used to play after school. And cricket looks like, well, I don't know because I fall asleep after 5 minutes of it...

i agree with the cricket, but try siting out 5 days 7 hours a day, and still end in a draw.

rounders... nope that aint the game. unless they buzz you around with a 90 plus fastball or saw your bat in half with a vicious cutter, in rounders. Baseball may have once been based on this game...but its most certainly evolved to something more.

Most of the possers who razz baseball as rounders, a schoolgirls' game, don't realize that there is are mens' professional rounders leagues, both in England and international, and that the present international mens' rounders champions happen to be the Brits. BTW, we Americans have no professional rounders teams, either domestic or international. You guys wear protection under those skirts, or is it not needed? :Party1:

Cups are a bloody must. I played little league and high school level. Played third base (the hot corner) That damn ball takes some funny hops. Took a line drive to the jewels one saturday afternoon. Still hurt like a mother fudger cup and all. lol. Also took one (line drive off the infield, to the face. bruised the left side of my face, from ear to mouth. lucky I didnt lose any teeth. fractured the ey socket bone too. I love baseball.
