Macau - Has anyone been there

Hi,

 

I'm interested in going to Macau for a side trip and maybe picking up some electricla goods in HK. Air Asia fly direct to Macau pretty cheaply but I'm not sure about hotels.

 

I don't want to stay in an expensive hotel like Venetian as I want to keep my money to play with

 

Has anyone been to Macau and if so perhaps they could pass on their experiences/recommendations.

went there about 3 years ago from hong kong, its a gambling place, very expensive

Fly into HK and stay there.

Take the ferry to Macau, spend the day and go back to HK when done.

Macau is great, but expensive.

 

Have a look online, as sometimes there are some great hotel discounts inMacau.

Not often though, as it gets booked out by people from China with lots of $.

 

Try to allow a full day on Macau, and make it worthwhile.

macau is small and the best as mentioned is to stay in hong kong and take the super fast ferry (1 hour as i recall)

 

you can spend the day. but all you have are casinos in macau really.

 

good if you like gambling and spend your money on black jack.

 

maybe you can book an hotel night in one of the casinos. lots of nice chinese girls for LT and ST in ground floor of casinos . discreet to take elevator to room.

 

otherwise not a lot of things to do there

Macau can be fun. P4P is mostly in sauna type environment. There are plenty of these saunas

around, even the hotels have them. Basically you pay a set price about $80 - $120 US. You

come in and lounge around in hot tubs and steam rooms. When your done with that they take you

to a big lounge with recliner chairs where you can eat and drink, then they bring in the girls, and

most of them are quite nice. Pick a girl that you like and she will sit with you until you are ready to

go back and do the deed. Not the same GFE as Thai girls but not bad. Give it a go, it is surely

different.

vboy if u are a high roller then u can get room comp just like vegas,99% of the tables are blackjack or baccarat and for p4p its very $$$$$$$. Prices are base on looks,height,age,nationality.etc and most are starfish or rushed with plenty of RULES. Alot cheaper and Better go to china/shenzen or changping for p4p but no gambling. Macau has girls from lots of different countries but china is 1/3 the price and mainly chinese gals.

if your up for blackjack Macau sucks !! there is no shoe , ie its 8 decks and after each hand is finished they are fed back into the shuffle machine eliminating all edges a player may have . theres no alchohol while gambline and the dealers tried to cheat me 3 times ( in the venetian ! )

 

the old town areas are nice to have a look and do a little shopping ( although most items expensive compared to the mailnand )

 

its ok for a day trip from Hongers , i didnt try P4p there

i,ve been travelling there ( china ) for 7 years and never had a problem , its everywhere and unless your being a twat you wont have any issues

i said china is 1/3 of price compared to macau for p4p and is up to u if u want to go,most bbs,sauna ktv pay off police and know ahead of time of raids. most raids happen just before chinese new years as they need extra money for those little red packets. They usually only arrest the mommy and girls not customers cause they need u for repeat biz so the police and gangster get their coffee money.

If you want to monger stay in Hk -there's plenty of choice and far cheaper than Macau.
