If you have stayed at he LK Ren, its the same decor and layout, but brand new. I liked it a lot. the pool is bigger than the Ren, and you cant beat the location, my room overlooked the beach. Its much quieter, since there are no bars across the street. The pools is nicer that the Ren, much bigger. Breakfast is about the same as the Ren (lousy), but the restuarant is open air. Nicer atmosphere, but the corner that the hotel is on is used by all the tour buses, so it gets a little noisy. Overall I enjoyed it and would stay there again. Same one girl no joiner fee as the Ren.

Cheers Pathan do you remember if the balcony is big enough to have a few quiets on, or is it one of those pokey little ones that just fits one on it.

It's a reasonable size, with a small round table and a couple of chairs. I sat and had my morning coffee before breakfast while my TG got out of bed.

Good choice, you will like it. I also got a really good price from Agoda, around 40% off for my stay in Late May. I will book there again for my November trip.

I used to stay at Imperial Residence down on Soi 10 but am such a bit fan of the LK group that I am glad they opened this one. I am booked in for a week at Christmas. It is a bit price at about THB 3,000 per night. I know it is high season and high week so I do not mind.

I see many are slamming the breakfast. I find it average but not horrible. Where do you guys think is a better hotel "free" breakfast?

Cheers

Stayed at the LK Empress for a week in June. The location is great and I booked a poolside room with a balcony and sea view.Great room, but it took 2days to get the toilet to flush properly. The girls loved the balcony and I have some memories to take home of the fun that was had with a sexy girl from Spankys..nude on the terrace at 4 in the morning.

However the next night I was woken up early in the morning ,by noise coming through the walls ,from the TVs in both adjacent rooms.

Why did they build a new luxury hotel, without putting sound insulation in the walls!!!!

After complaining to the sympathic staff (they clearly have a problem with tv noise transmission throughout the hotel),I was offered a beach front corner studio..I had to pay an upgrade ,but at least I could sleep after a night out!

In conclusion..what a pity to build a hotel in an A1 position ,without proper sound insulation between adjoining rooms..my first and last time in this hotel.

The Jacuzzi room worth every penny! A royal touch.

My wife is a sex object. Every time I ask for sex, she objects..

You should have no problem. Though, in the future, when you book a room you can let them know you will be late in the special request section of the booking form.

You can't always get what you want but if you try, sometimes you might find that you get what you need.

I just booked for 6 nights in June, have not stayed here yet but they were gracious enough to send a bellman with me for a tour of room and facilities.

I don't usually book this far ahead but I got the last 3 beachfront rooms available for me and a couple friends.

In low season this past September I paid a little over $100. for the beach facing junior suite at Baywalk Residence because the Empress was $130.

In June high season the Baywalk room I had before is $140. and the Empress is $97.

Go figure.

I'll definitely post some comments and pictures after if no one has done so by then.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days in July 2011 (the pool wasn't finished yet at that time but they had some special promo prices).

I got the impression that the hotel was built really really cheap using the cheapest materials they could find.

First the walls - really thin. You can hear people in the adjacent rooms.

Second thing I noticed was that the bathroom equipment was of no-brand cheap Chinese copies of some western models. Even back then there were problems with flushing the toilet and the shower column was already showing signs of falling apart. I wondered how long it would last.

I also remember that the breakfast was not very impressive.

All in all a pretension to look as an A level hotel but if you look at it closer it's a cheap imitation. Not wirth the money imo.
