I lived next to a mosque in Phuket for a while. Didn't really bother me apart from the 5am chanting which just screeched ALAHAHHAHHHAHHAHHHAH for about 15 mins every morning.

You are right: it doesn't take much to get these people inflamed, but then again we shouldn't go around walking on eggshells. Respect and tolerance should be a two-way street. Things have gotten so bad in Britain that children at primary school can't read the three little pigs or have nativity plays at school in case in offends the sensibilities of Muslims.

 

A few years ago, I lived just outside of Bangkok where many Muslim men took great delight in wearing Osama Bin Laden T-shirts just after 9/11. I found it hard to contain my anger at this deliberate provocation.
