Tycoon Place

Compared to Soi Buakow Hotels, it's slightly more in price but much less noise and traffic because it's on a inner Soi off South Pattaya Rd.

Please Dre, can you tell me some hotels at soi buakow that has the same facilities as this one. I would rather stay at buakow than this location, so if you can point out some hotels in the same price range i would appreciate it. They have to have internet in room and swimming pool.

Sunview Place, Q&D Sweets Mansion, R-Con Residence and Golden Sea Pattaya were a few hotels along Soi Buakhao I was looking to stay at. Sunview Place would probably be your best bet. Hope this helps. :Bravo1:

No, im sorry to say, they all fail to meet my requirements as I wrote, with internet in room and swimming pool.

Sunview place dont have internet in room. r-con dont have swimming pool, Q & D Sweets mansion and golden sea is much more expensive than tycoon place.

I've stayed one month during july-agoust, and you absolutely need a motorbike.

Very good place, extremely silent, big rooms and good bathroom, big and comfortable bed.

Cleaning room everyday til 16 pm. Guest friendly and if they don't have id card you can garantee for them, so no problem at all.

Safety box only at reception, but very efficient and secure. Security also outside hotel 24 hours. Motorbike taxy outside hotel, no need to walk to pattaya tai.

Swimming pool small, but ok to refresh your ideas during afternoon. Restaurant clean and food available at swimming pool also.

Taxi to airport from the hotel is 900 b.

1 month stay is 9000 bat, electricity 1421 b., water 350 b. TOTAL 10.771, so it means 350 bat/day!!!

Highly recommended for long staying, 'cause otherwise they ask 700 b/day.

I'm now giving you an updated revision on my review of the tycoon place hotel. It has not been updated in many years and it has recently been taken over by an Indian group who is trying to bring in tours of Indian tourists. I don't mind that they bring in the groups except that many of them go into the pool in their underwear I have even seen someone go in with a bar of soap into the pool and wash themselves I have reported this to the management several times and while the address it with the individual Indian person there are constantly new Indian groups coming and they seem to follow the same pattern. I do not think I will book here again. I have also heard reports that monthly rates may be eliminated as they get a daily rate from Indian tourists. If you have good suggestion for a similar place please let me know.

my requirements are:

Nice pool with sun on the pool and some shade to sit under

balcony that is not sunk into the building

Somewhat quiet

AC

Elevator (lift)

safe motorbike parking

big Queen or king sized bed

wifi or ethernet internet connection

Daily cleaning, change linens twice a week

I prefer between pattaya tai and klang, between 2nd and sukhumvitt. But I am not firm on that.

around 20k including electric and water per month

btw - tycoon place is now called Royal Tycoon Place. Royaltycoonplace.com. To me the site reads as Royalty as the first word at first glance

I bet if the owner were to publicize the place on the business section here he might even get some extra custom!

As long as he's not silly enough to try and self publicize by pretending to be a customer he could do all right with the thousands of potential customers here.

If you try and lead people by the nose they tend to think 'fuck you' and give the place a bad name .

No one likes to be manipulated usually! ohmy.gif Unless it's the velvet hands of a bar girl! tongue.gif

Just a final note on this hotel. I used a fan and kept the ac set at 27 or 28. My electric bill was 1920 with water for the month. So the new management does not seem to pad the electric bill. The Indian groups were there for 3 days then gone. I would say there were big groups 3 times for my month stay. If they get the pool bathers under control it is still a good value IMO. I will probably be staying elsewhere my next trip in.
