A group of 5 car owners filed a Police Report at Pattaya Police Station on Tuesday to report the alleged theft of 40 vehicles owned by them. The 5 car owners and the owner of a car rental company based in Pattaya to whom the cars were given to over a period of 1 year filed reports which detailed how the cars were initially sent to the rental company who then sent them to an agent in Laem Chabang who claimed he could rent them to Korean workers in the area. Initially rental income from the cars filtered down the chain to the owners but soon stopped and the owner of the rental company, the PL Car Rental and Travel Company Ltd, feared the worst and informed the car owners she suspected the cars had been stolen. Police are now in possession of all documentation relating to the case and are attempting to locate the stolen vehicles and arrest the agent Khun Rachanee who ceased contact with the rental company recently.
