Burglary At Animal Hospital in Pattaya – Thief Got Away with Notebook Computer

A burglar stole a notebook computer at Thonglor animal hospital, Pattaya branch. The theft happened at night while the veterinary doctor was on the first floor. The locals tried to catch the burglar but he escaped with one notebook computer. The police will use the CCTV footage and the fingerprints in the investigation.

PATTAYA – May 22, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Sub. Lt. Putthiphong Cheunchom, Pattaya police station, Chonburi province was notified there about a burglary at Thonglor animal hospital, Pattaya address 147/41-42 Sukhumvit road, South Pattaya.

At the scene of the crime a well known animal hospital, open 24 hours the police found three staff: the veterinarian, the nurse and the cashier. Mr. Chaowalit Pimairum age 25, the nurse of the hospital said that, while three of them were working on the first floor, they heard the voices of the locals behind the animal hospital, shouting that there was a burglar!

The staff went out and found that the local people were chasing the burglar, a Thai man who escaped from behind the animal hospital and ran across Sukhumvit road to the opposite Soi and disappeared.

The locals brought one surgical drill, brand name Makita which was packed in a plastic box.The piece of surgical equipment was stolen by the burglar but dropped while he was escaping. The burglar had left behind white mask.

After the burglary the the police informed the branch manager who went to inspect on the 2nd floor and the 4th floor and discovered that the burglar had climbed from the window on the 2nd floor and stolen the notebook computer on the 2nd floor. The surgical drill he stole from the 3rd floor.

Upon asking Mr. Soom Banterng age 21, one of the locals who chased the burglar. Mr. Soom said that before incident occurred he was trying to sleep in his room located in a building behind the animal hospital. Suddenly and heard loud noises and he went out to look. He saw the burglar wearing a white mask as he was climbing down from the wall behind the animal hospital.

Mr. Soom called his friend to assist to catch the burglar. The burglar threw away the surgical drill and the white mask when he realised they were chasing him. He ran across Sukhumvit road to the opposite side, and the local lost him.

Later, the police asked to view CCTV footage. The CCTV images showed a thin man, short hair, height about 175 cm. Wearing a long sleeve shirt, jeans and sneakers. He was a large bag and wore white mask to conceal face. The suspect entered the building at 02:48 through the window on the second floor.

The police has also collected the fingerprint evidence of the burglar plus the important took the CCTV footage which will be used to arrest this criminal and prosecute according to the law.
