But why are Patts condo often so bland. I can see how a Thai Owner would not understand western deco

But I would of thought a western owner would make the interior beautiful to increase chances of rental.

 

I look of lots of links for condo for sale or rent..and some look so dated

 

I have to admit I've never been to a Thai furniture shop, but they must do cheap stylish furniture and pictures/vases/ornaments

Him trying to sublet the apartment without your permission negates the lease I think, change the locks and throw him out. Keep his deposit too if he actually gave you one.
