DAB Digital Radio..any point taking in to PATTS ?

I'm preparing for my move to Pattaya, selling stufff I don't need and planning the packing of things I want to ship with me.

 

Is there any point bring my DAB radio's ???

 

Is there a digital signal ?

I doubt Thailand has dab transmitters. You wouldn't get UK stations outside of there own transmitter range anyway if that is what you are after. A lot of people confuse digital with satellite.

I just realised that my DAB radios also pick up FM signals

so I can bring them,, but might sell the expensive ones !

No DAB in Thailand. It is mostly a European thing, although it is used in China and Hong Kong, and there are experimental services in parts of Indonesia and Malaysia. None in Thailand though. Therefore, a pure DAB radio will be a brick in Thailand. A hybrid DAB/FM radio will be an FM radio.

Only bring with you if combined with FM or FM/AM.

 

No DAB in Thailand and as yet no talk of it, even though becoming very popular and common in other countries.
